Absolutely. Therapy works best when you feel comfortable with your clinician. If you'd like to switch, contact our team and we'll help match you with someone who's a better fit. There's no penalty or pressure to stay with a clinician who isn't right for you.
Therapists (LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, psychologists) provide talk therapy — helping you understand and work through emotional, behavioral, or relational concerns. Prescribers (psychiatric nurse practitioners and psychiatrists) evaluate and prescribe medication for mental health conditions. Many clients work with both, often in a coordinated treatment plan.
